Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Serhat.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 14:01, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Bejne.ogg

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Bejne.ogg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:40, 6 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 16:40, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ali Baran has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This BLP article has remained unsourced for three years and I was unable to find any independent coverage of the individual to verify the content.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Keskesor! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 709 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Ali Serhat Baran, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. If you wish for this article to be deleted, you need to go through the normal channels; please see the deletion policy. Note that "subject does not want/permit an article" is not in and of itself a valid rationale for deletion. —KuyaBriBriTalk 21:06, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have placed a speedy deletion tag on File:Serhatbaran.jpg, since you were the original uploader and only contributor of substantive content. Note that as I mentioned before, you do not have that privilege on Ali Serhat Baran. —KuyaBriBriTalk 21:35, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Allright. Many thanks for the removal of pictures! Do you know how can the person himself (Ali Serhat Baran) make an application for deletion? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Keskesor (talkcontribs) 17 April 2012
First off let me make one thing clear: I am not an administrator and do not have the authority or ability to delete anything. I merely saw that your wish to delete the image was in line with one of the speedy deletion criteria, namely the "author requests deletion" criterion, and nominated the image for deletion. An administrator saw my nomination, evaluated its merits, and agreed that the page met the criterion I identified, then deleted it.
That being said, if you know the subject of the article, you can request that he look at this page for information on how to contact the Wikimedia Foundation. Again, an article will not be deleted just because the subject does not wish to have an article. An article will only be deleted if it meets the criteria for deletion under the deletion policy. However, if a person has borderline notability according to Wikipedia's notability criteria for inclusion, editors considering the merits of deleting the article might take the subject's wishes into consideration. —KuyaBriBriTalk 14:42, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Mehmet Atlı

[edit]

Hello Keskesor,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Mehmet Atlı for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. J Sahu (ଜ୍ଞାନ) talk 09:08, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
