Wikipedia is not a place for your personal projects[edit]

“Alternative comics” you dreamed up that haven’t even been published, let alone reviewed, are exactly what Wikipedia:NOTMADEUP is referring to. Wikipedia is not a Wikipedia:WEBHOST for your vanity projects. Dronebogus (talk) 05:06, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as Draft:Kepler Microcinema, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Draft:List of Gumshoe Characters, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:List of Gumshoe Characters and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Draft:List of Gumshoe Characters during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Dronebogus (talk) 05:10, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Writing advice[edit]

  • ”Gumshoe” is a generic title, you won’t get any search hits with that
  • Using a foreign language for your title can come across as pretentious
  • Wikipedia and TVTropes are great sources for research but please do not use them for spam.

Greetings Dronebogus,
Go ahead and have the drafts deleted. I'm alright maintaining that information on a Google Doc instead. And thanks for the advice. I was actually considering changing those names beforehand but nothing has been coming to mind. I agree that Gumshoe is both too generic and also not really emblematic of what it is now. Anyways, I understand the situation and concur with the necessary deletions. Krakennowak (talk) 05:42, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
