V8 infobox
[edit]Why change all the stats around? Round starts for example have always been the preferred method of counting by the series. --Falcadore (talk) 06:02, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
- Of course it is confusing. But VESA don't care that it is confusing and they are the officials in this regard.
- They refer to individual race starts for wins, but not for career starts. If VESA routiniely refers to round starts for drivers rather than individual racestarts, then we should not be adding to the confusion by contradicting official sources. --Falcadore (talk) 12:04, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

V8 Supercars infobox race report
[edit]Regarding this (I also left this message on the talk page), I very much prefer your version. A lot more clear-cut, brief and to the point. If people want to know about podiums, they'd either look further down the page or include it in the article themselves. You have my vote. If possible (and if time permits), you wouldn't mind helping me create an event report for my World Rallycross articles would you? If you could, it would be much appreciated. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Regarding Fastest Laps
[edit]Hi Kytabu, I've been editing the results for the V8 Supercar Championship series recently, and I was just curious, do you know how to find out who got the fastest lap in the race? V8 Supercars recently changed their layout, and I can't find the data I need. If you know, could you tell me please :

Re: V8 Supercar team driver lists
[edit]Hey Kytabu,
I think these changes sound good. If you can apply these changes to one of the pages and then contact me about it, I can apply these changes to the last of the teams that haven't been upgraded, Brad Jones Racing. I am also aiming to make a drivers section for all teams that have raced in the V8 Supercars Championship, from 1993-onwards.
Thanks for the idea,
TZealot (talk) 05:05, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
- I was thinking of just applying the changes I have made to the current teams in terms of drivers to the older teams. That infobox is horrible. I'll gather the information and apply the new format to Brad Jones Racing now. It looks good. TZealot (talk) 07:54, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
1987 Nürburgring Touring Car Grand Prix
[edit]The links go to exactly the same page, its just cleaner without all the extra crap. E30 M3|BMW M3 still goes to the same page and place on the BMW M3 page as BMW M3#E30 M3|BMW M3 does, its just tidier and its the same with the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth and RS500 links. It wasn't an attempt to send them to different links or anything that would have drastically changed everything, just an effort to tidy up the page a bit. Nothing more.HoldenV8 (talk) 02:49, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- @HoldenV8: Hey, my apologies. I thought I had read in the MOS, a while ago now, that section links were preferred over redirects (something to do with server times), but it appears it has either changed or I was wrong (probably the latter). – Kytabu 11:18, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

Asking for help...
[edit]Hey Kytabu. I've had a bit of spare time recently, and I was going to start another improvement project similar to the Drivers sections I have added. I want to use the F1 'complete results' table, such as the one here, but I've identified a few problems that maybe you could get around.
My major problem is that any championship from pre-2003 only has the round results on Wikipedia, and not individual races. This poses a problem for older teams such as HRT and GRM.
My secondary problem is that the table width is too wide for 85% font, and I have had to reduce it to 75% so it can fit on the page.
I've made a sample here, if you can offer assistance as to where I can get the information for individual races, or offer a way around it, that would be awesome. TZealot (talk) 05:25, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- @TZealot: There is a website with full results. However, to be honest I would be opposed to the addition of that style of table to Supercars teams' pages. I have started work on standard driver, team and race pages for the series, and on the team page I have included a summary of teams' championship results, which I think fits in the article a lot more nicely. An F1-style table is going to be massive for a Supercars team, especially if co-drivers are included (imagine how 2011 and 2012 would look!). – Kytabu 07:08, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Yeah. That was another issue I forgot to mention, but there was no real way around it as before 2010 the two main drivers raced in the same car. Your page looks good, I guess I'm just more of a sucker for having detailed tables! We'll see where it goes, I just want the teams to have more depth to their articles, similar to the F1 teams. TZealot (talk) 07:22, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- @TZealot: I think people forget how insignificant our local motorsport scene, including Supercars, is on a global scale, apart from Bathurst. On a dedicated ATCC/SC Wiki, I would have no hesitation in adding that information (in fact, I have), but for Wikipedia I think a much simpler style is sufficient.
- I did try raising a discussion on improving quality at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Australian motorsport, but sadly no one seemed to be interested. – Kytabu 08:42, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- I just hope that the new rulings will improve the V8 fanbase, and attract more international attention. Did you hear that Pascal Wehrlein hinted at a future move to the V8s if his time in F1 doesn't go to plan? TZealot (talk) 10:20, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
- @TZealot: I sure did, and based on the performance of Ekstrom a few years ago, I think Wehrlein would go pretty well. – Kytabu 03:48, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
- Definitely. You don't get into any F1 team on a fluke, even a backmarker team. TZealot (talk) 06:51, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

Novocastrian Motorsport
[edit]I've been working on an article for Novocastrian Motorsport in my sandbox. Does such article pass notability criteria (especially seeing as they are allegedly 90% of the way to having a full-time entry for next season) and if so would this do? Holdenman05 (talk) 01:19, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Holdenman05: Article can be created now due to the team's ATCC and Bathurst history. Just remove all mentions of 2017 until there is official confirmation that the team will be on the grid. 124.149.79.23 (talk) 00:58, 4 November 2016 (UTC)

Help with National Automobile Dealers Association article?
[edit]Hi there! I'm reaching out as I'm trying to find someone to help with proposed improvements to the article for the National Automobile Dealers Association. On behalf of the organization, I've posted an edit request for a few small, straightforward updates on the article's talk page, and I'm looking for an uninvolved editor to review. As a member of WikiProject Automobiles, I wonder if you'd have any interest and be able to take a look? I posted a request for help on the WikiProject's talk page and to some other WikiProject users, but so far no one has responded. Thanks! 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 19:13, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
The article Kombat Armouring has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:ORG: no evidence of notability; no sources. The claim that is was founded by Gorbachev is at best erroneous, at worst a hoax.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. eh bien mon prince (talk) 08:47, 7 October 2017 (UTC)
