Charlemagne

Hi LeHappiste, I noticed your recent edit to the opening sentence of the article on Charlemagne. I'm not sure Charlemagne is French for Charles the Great as the article in French Wikipedia begins "Charles Ier, dit « le Grand »". My French isn't very good though. Also the sentence now reads "Charlemagne (/ˈʃɑrlɨmeɪn/; French for "Charles the Great"; 2 April 742 – 28 January 814), also known as Charles the Great". Edit warring at Battle of Hastings...
