Thank you very much for your help and advice. I now have a much better idea of what is needed for a Wikipedia page.

Leedsed (talk) 17:08, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Happy if I helped. Perhaps unfortunately, but perhaps unavoidably, "notability" as understood in Wikipedia is key. Thousands of people don't qualify even though their [actual] notability would be obvious to thinking people; while, say, numerous varieties/instances of "Star Wars fandom" are Wikipedia-"notable" and merit articles. This annoys me too. -- Hoary (talk) 02:26, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Violet Crowther[edit]

On 10 January 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Violet Crowther, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that when Abbey House Museum curator Violet Crowther wanted to add old-fashioned household objects or "bygones" to the collection, she advertised for a pair of bellows in the local newspaper? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Violet Crowther. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Violet Crowther), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
