Question: What does "salted" mean in WP:RPP?

Answer: 'Salting' means deleting something, and preventing it from being recreated by anybody except administrators by protecting it. For more information see WP:SALT. – Riana 05:20, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Helpme 3[edit]

What is "cascade" protection?

If cascading protection is enabled for a protected page, ever template transcluded in the page is also protected, ad infinitum. For example, the Main Page has cascading protection enabled, and each of the parts of the Main Page, i.e. "Featured articles", "In the news", etc. are templates transcluded in the Main Page, so they are also protected by the cascading protection. —Centrxtalk • 01:23, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your recent edit to Apartment, do you think it might be better to add the disambiguation page? I think the previous editors attempt at clarity was well meaning. --Jrsnbarn 02:23, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requests for protection[edit]

Why do you keep requesting protection for templates just created? When a template is new and rarely used, it is not a high risk template. -Amarkov moo! 05:11, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't make requests for protection for templates you have just made, and aren't being used anywhere. We do not protect templates unless they are very high risk (i.e. used on many hundreds of pages), and we certainly don't block templates that one user has just made. – Riana 05:19, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requests for protection, again[edit]

If only one person is vandalizing a page, then the right thing to do is warn them with user warning templates, and then request blocking at WP:AIV if they continue. Protecting the page for one editor would unfairly shut out a lot of good edits. -Amarkov moo! 21:22, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Usernames at AIV[edit]

Please don't use automatic rollback scripts on my edits, as you did here. Save that for the vandals, please. And please don't list what are far from clear-cut username "violations" at AIV: the correct place for those is WP:RFCN. Moreover, when a user in good standing removes the username from AIV as not clear-cut, that is a very clear sign that RFCN is the more appropriate venue. So don't revert in the first place, and not automatically. Moreschi Request a recording? 17:18, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. TWINKLE is a powerful tool, and shouldn't really be used by new users, or until you've got a really good grasp of policies like WP:PPOL and WP:VAND. I recommend you start with manually patrolling Special:Recentchanges, use warning templates from WP:TT and don't ask for protection unless the page is very highly vandalised, or very likely to pose a significant threat if unprotected. – Riana talk 05:09, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See the replies towards the end of this page. Disruptive editing will result in increasinly longer blocks. — xaosflux Talk 01:00, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to ban[edit]

Please see this proposal. While I feel your recent use of twinkle is not enough to merit such an action, you might want to state your case and refrain from using twinkle until you know what you're doing. BuickCenturyDriver (Honk, contribs, odometer) 01:39, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removing the sandbox header[edit]

You were warned on 23 March 2007 not to remove the sandbox header. [4]. You did it again today. [5]. Please do not remove the header. Nardman1 02:00, 28 March 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Per Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Lowercase_second_and_subsequent_words_in_titles: "Do not capitalize second and subsequent words unless the title is a proper noun (such as a name) or is otherwise almost always capitalized." Please adhere to this policy and stop moving pages to capitalize the titles. Such as you did here [6] and here [7]. The correct titles are "Spanish language" and "Grilled cheese sandwich" in normal English. Nardman1 03:16, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image sources[edit]

Do NOT remove image source tags from images until the source is provided as you did here [8]. You must provide source information (Where did you get the image, who owns the copyright). Nardman1 03:48, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article appears to be a copyvio from [9]. Do not copy text from other websites without permission. (And it should be noted they copied the rules straight from the game without permission.) Nardman1 03:54, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Check Again[edit]

I wish you would check more carefully before accusing someone of vandalism. I used the Sandbox to experiment!!! I inserted a {{talkheader}} template as an experiment and then moved on. I removed nothing. Please look at the entire history log before making loose accusations. Thank you. StudierMalMarburg 16:59, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Helpme 10[edit]

On my popups, on the right from the word "contributions" says "tree". Can you tell me what "tree" (on the right of "contributions") is?

It allows you to check which namespaces, then pages this user edited the most. Just follow the links to navigate in the contributions. I just tried it on me, that's quite interesting ;). I hope that helps! -- lucasbfr talk 17:40, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stop it[edit]

I'm not sure if you are really a complete fool or just pretending to be one for trolling reasons but if I see any more silly edits from you I will be blocking you. Do not reply to help me tags, do not use twinkle. Consider yourself warned. Theresa Knott | Taste the Korn 19:47, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For the next week, I want you to edit articles. As in, the encyclopedia. Do not issue user warnings or deal with policy pages until you have shown substantially more familiarity with Wikipedia and its processes. If you violate this admonition or Theresa's just above, it is very likely that an administrator is going to decide that you are just deliberately wasting everyone's time and block this account indefinitely. Newyorkbrad 21:22, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lego, you're not getting the message. You're still using Twinkle, and we've asked you very politely to stop, and concentrate on actual article editing. You're wasting everyone's time, with invalid AIV reports and warning people for edits that aren't vandalism. Please, consider this your last warning, and I do mean your last warning. – Riana talk 05:08, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:helpme[edit]

Hi. Thanks for responding so quickly to the helpme tag on my talk page, but just letting you know, that wasn't me that put the tag there, it was a ctrl/c ctrl/v from another talk page to reply on mine. Sorry if there was any confusion- CattleGirl talk | sign! 08:02, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Helpme[edit]

You can do this by creating a ser-sub page such as User:LegoAxiom1007/Autographs and leave a message at the top asking people to sign if they see it, for more information see WP:USERPAGE. Regards - Tellyaddict 16:09, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, quit it[edit]

Quit it with the dodgy edits. Like here [10] and here [11]. The ndash looks better than the hyphen in a date range and "2003/2004" has a specific meaning in automobile manufacture, ie it refers to a model year. Replacing it with "2004" COMPLETELY CHANGES THE MEANING. Here you used popups [12] despite an order to stop using any automated scripts. Here you reverted [13] and warned [14] a user for removing "King Kirk" from an article, when in fact he was reverting an earlier vandalism. Are you editing seriously here? Do you honestly think something like "King Kirk" is for real? Here you changed another user's comment on a talk page [15] and not only that, YOU GOT IT WRONG. The edit to Wikipedia was not the edit in February being warned of there. Furthermore, changing other people's comments on talk pages is NOT ALLOWED. Here [16] you once again reported someone to WP:AIV who had not edited for months, as you've been warned not to do. The responding admin was understandably incredulous [17] If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia in this manner, you will be blocked. Final Warning. Nardman1 22:53, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And it looks as if you're reported. I'm disappointed you're persisting with your behaviour. BuickCenturyDriver (Honk, contribs, odometer) 23:17, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
AIV rejected the report. [18] Nardman1 23:18, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
At least this revision was legitimate. That is what those nifty tools are for. BuickCenturyDriver (Honk, contribs, odometer) 23:24, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that is what you use the tool for. Check the edit log and you'll find many poor edits you can revert. BuickCenturyDriver (Honk, contribs, odometer) 23:31, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Stop encouraging him to use it. Nardman1 23:33, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Helpme[edit]

{{helpme|How do I add flashy graphics on my autographs page?}}

Perhaps you should work on the encyclopedia or go outside instead. Wikipedia is not Myspace. —Centrxtalk • 23:27, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Helpme[edit]

Why is Wikipedia not MySpace?

Because it's an encyclopedia, and encyclopedias are not Myspace. -Amarkov moo! 04:18, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your AIV report[edit]

Users do not get blocked for vandalizing once, especially not without anything past a first warning. I really recommend you just focus on something other than projectspace, before someone gets frustrated and blocks you. -Amarkov moo! 05:19, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Enough[edit]

It's pretty clear that you have ignored my request to stop playing silly buggers so I am blocking you for a week for disruption. When you come back - do not use any scripts whatsoever. Do not create stupid articles that someone then has to delete. Do not use "help me" and do not answer any help me queries. Do not speak to any new users. Do not report anyone for vandalism. Do not do anything except edit the encylopedia. If you ignore this and waste any more wikipedians time I will block you permenantly.Theresa Knott | Taste the Korn 06:34, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was very close to doing the same thing, and endorse this block. Newyorkbrad 07:11, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Same here. Please try to make positive contributions when you come back, or I or another admin will block your account indefinitely. – Riana talk 07:13, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not surprised. 24.185.34.152 16:00, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

Since you've repeatedly ignored directions from several administrators and are clearly trying to waste our time, you have been blocked indefinitely. --Wafulz 17:08, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please always remember to close your html tags--VectorPotentialTalk 18:36, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I haven't done anything stupid lately. And actually, no. I don't think someone else has my account but what I'm saying is that I didn't do any disruption by that time (except the 1 week block). Regards. IsuzuAxiom1007 (talk • contribs • Sign here!) 00:01, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You were warned to stop being disruptive. You kept on being disruptive. You get indefblocked. It's not rocket science. Moreschi Request a recording? 09:01, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Actually, sir, someone was declined from me. Thanks for the comment, though. ;-) IsuzuAxiom1007 (talkcontribsSign here!) 00:59, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
