A tag has been placed on Jackson Lee requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. [edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Jackson Lee. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Quasihuman (talk) 15:42, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Jackson Li requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and providing your reasons for contesting on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

You may want to read the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Trimmch (talk) 06:21, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I see that the article, Jackson Li, which you created, is tagged with a Speedy Deletion notice. I suggest that what the article is crying out for is some citations from reliable third-party sources (see WP:RS), and that you'd improve its chances of survival a great deal more if you could track some down and add them than you will by adding pretty photos. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Jackson Li, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. • Wikipedia is not a place to post a resume or an advertisement for a school of pottery. Also, you keep re-adding the speedy deletion template--I assume you are copying and pasting that from an earlier, deleted version. You should take Boing's advice to heart. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 02:42, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Jackson Li. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 15:39, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi. I want you to understand. When you type {{db-person}}, that large box it adds to an article is a deletion tag. You are asking the article you have written to be removed from the encyclopedia. When we remove that box, we are simply trying to help the article stay. Please take some time to learn our ways. Right now, you are behaving in a way that will get you in trouble. Xymmax So let it be written So let it be done 10:40, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • Besides that silly speedy tag, you keep adding material that is entirely unencyclopedic and unverified. I have again reverted your edits. WP is not for selling art, promoting art classes, or posting a resume. Long sections on post-imperial classical porcelain don't pertain to the article, which is a biography, and statements such as these, "By doing so, we have been able to preserve the essence of traditional post imperial porcelain’s elegance with the spirit of modern neo-classicism," suggest that you are peddling a product. I urge you to acquaint yourself with some of our guidelines, for instance, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Your edits, as the editor above remarked, are becoming a bit disruptive. Thank you. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Fashion. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.
