A page you started (Cecil Barror) has been reviewed!

[edit]

Thanks for creating Cecil Barror, Libraryproject!

Wikipedia editor Blythwood just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Looks OK. I've cited the Irish Times obituary, which seems to be the best source, and done a general cleanup to improve spacing of the text and references. Hope that's OK.

Proposed deletion of Kenneth barton

[edit]

The article Kenneth barton has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lack of notability. Appearance in one TV play, two IMDB listed films where he is way down on the cast, and actor with a theatre for some years. No indication that he received significant attention.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. August 2016

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Libraryproject", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it seems to be that of a group or suggests shared usage. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 10:52, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The name Libraryproject was set up for a summer project we are working on, at the moment it is used by one person but this might change in the future and we would hope that we can continue to contribute to Wikipedia (Libraryproject (talk) 11:58, 18 August 2016 (UTC))[reply]

Per the username policy usernames cannot be shared or be that of a group; they must indicate you as an individual user. If you are part of a group, every member of the group should have their own username. You could structure your name in such a way as to indicate that you are part of a group by formatting it as "YourName of GroupName". You don't have to use your real name, just something to indicate you as an individual. I would highly suggest that you change your username per the instructions above. 331dot (talk) 12:09, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If "MULibrary" is the name of a university library, this new name is not an improvement, as it does not indicate you as an individual user. I would again suggest your name be formatted as I describe above, perhaps as "YourName at MULibrary". 331dot (talk) 23:25, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, May Craig actress

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, May Craig actress. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – May Craig (actress). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at May Craig (actress) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. FelisLeoTalk! 11:04, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I seem to have duplicated the page May Craig so this page can be deleted. Apologies (Libraryproject (talk) 12:00, 18 August 2016 (UTC))[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Derbhle Crotty, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page UCD. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username.
