Proposed deletion of Fjackets[edit]

The article Fjackets has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG and WP:CORP. No extensive coverage in independent and reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fjackets, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ubiquity (talk) 15:10, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Fjackets requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Deletion[edit]

One version was deleted for advertising or promotion. That comes under WP:SPAM. Being promotional, even if it wasn't intentional (but it mostly is...), is not allowed. This applies equally to multi-nationals, charities, holy men/women, and 10 year olds on YouTube. No promotion. We insist on neutral (grey) wording. Another was deleted for lack of indicated significance. This is under A7 speedy deletion, but there's no point of reading that up as the long-term survival stuff is at WP:CORP. For anything, the notability must be proved with reliable independent sources WP:RS. According to a proposed deletion notice (that's different to speedy - it takes a week and works on notability, etc) the proposer couldn't seem to find any RS. Without shown and proved notability, there is no chance of an article. The vast majority of businesses will never have articles - but that doesn't mean they're not doing a good job. They just don't fit our policies. If you try again, I'd advise collecting the refs first, then writing around them. The company site or any directory, listing, or social media, are not reliable independent sources. Nor are blogs or wikis. Create it at User:Linda D. Jewell/DRAFT (click and save), and when you think you're getting somewhere, ask MelanieN or Ritchie333 for advice. Peridon (talk) 22:44, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
