Notability of Johan Fano

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Johan Fano, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ♫Twinkler4♫ (Talk to me!) 17:47, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page blanking

[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Exploding Boy 18:11, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Exploding Boy 18:14, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Football articles

[edit]

Hi, I have noticed that you are creating a number of football articles relating to Peruvian footballers. Could you please make sure that any future contributiond comply with the Manual of style and at least include the category Category:Peruvian footballers so that other people can at least see that they exist and improve them. English peasant 13:05, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please make an effort to spend a little more time to ensure that the articles you are creating are both accurate and properly categorised. See this edit for some of the corrections I had to make to one of your articles, including the fact that he is no longer living (RIP) despite being categorised as a living person, the fact that his name is not Oscar Malbernat, the fact that Estudiantes did not win the Primera and Primera B in the same year and the addition of a lot of missing categories. While it is good to see people writing about South American football, it would be nice if I could find a bit of time to write some articles of my own, rather than cleaning up other peoples work all the time. Infobox Football biography

[edit]

{{Football player infobox}} was renamed {{Infobox Football biography}} in August 2006. The old template is not identical to the current version. Please see the edits I have made to Nelinho Quina to give yourself an idea. Thanks.  slυмgυм [ ←→ ] 20:55, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello M4rc10! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 15 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 662 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

August 2011

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Template:Universitario de Deportes managers, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you.   — Jeff G.  ツ 14:00, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
