File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Master-and-its-servants.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Master-and-its-servants.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Neil S. Walker (talk) 12:58, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Master-and-its-servants.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Master-and-its-servants.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Neil S. Walker (talk) 12:59, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Macmladen. I suggest that you use Template:Non-free use rationale book cover to provide the non-free use rationale referred to above. Fill in as many of the template's parameters as you can. However, be advised that each use of a non-free file is required to satisfy ten non-free content use criteria. Two of these criteria are WP:NFCC#7 and WP:NFCC#9; #7 requires that all non-free content be used in at least one article, while #9 requires that non-free content be only used in articles. This means that you cannot use the file in Draft:Maria Vivod. Files not used in any articles are considered "orphaned non-free files" and subject to speedy deletion per WP:F5; so, the file will be deleted after seven days if unless you are able to find a policy-compliant way to use it in an existing article. For reference, non-free images of book covers are allowed to be uploaded and used in Wikipedia articles, but only really when they are used for primary identification purposes in a stand-alone article about the book in questions as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3. So, even if the draft you're working on about Vivod is eventually approved as an article, there's no real way to justify the non-free use of this file in that article, at least not as you seem to be intending to use it. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:48, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Master-and-its-servants.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Master-and-its-servants.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:58, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
