Please sign your name on Talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. It is a good idea to read the most recent entries at the bottom of the Talk page of an existing article before making major changes to it, to see if your proposed change has been discussed before. Before I make a major change to an article, I often make a proposal on the Talk page to see if anyone minds.

Again, welcome! -- Ssilvers (talk) 21:30, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Malinda Kathleen Reese

[edit]

Malinda Kathleen Reese is a youtuber, actress & Musician who deserves a Wikipedia page . If I could, I would create one myself . I actually created my account to do so , however I've realized I have to make a certain amount of contributions to be able to make a page so if someone could make the page , I can help add all necessary information, more times than not people make wikis pages for people that are non-existent , but I feel she deserves an actual Wikipedia Page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rachel Ballinger requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://youtube.fandom.com/wiki/Rachel_Ballinger. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. YouTube as a source

[edit]

Generally, YouTube is not a source that should be used on Wikipedia, and most information that is reported only on YouTube is unencyclopedic trivia. Please review WP:NOT. -- Ssilvers (talk) 15:41, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Malinda Kathleen Reese

[edit]

There are several articles about her viral videos so citing those wouldn't be a problem , I was merely linking the mentioned video . Whether I'm the one working on it or not, I strongly feel she deserves a Wikipedia page Malindgtsqueen (talk) 19:38, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not for promotion, and it is not a newspaper or fan magazine. Rather, it is an encyclopedia, so the best subjects are historical people like Abraham Lincoln, or things of worldwide importance like Rosetta Stone and Cell nucleus, or places like Dhaka. We already have too many articles about YouTubers and other minor celebrities, so when you consider adding another one, consider whether the person has more than 10 million subscribers (we already have well over a hundred articles on such people) or has won an Emmy Award, Olivier Award or Grammy Award, or had multiple profiles published about them in national news sources, like The New York Times, Time magazine or The Washington Post, rather than just celebrity magazines. -- Ssilvers (talk) 21:27, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Help with article creation

[edit]

Hello Malindgtsqueen, I share your enthusiasm to have an article on Wikipedia about Malinda. I think she has enough coverage from secondary sources now to warrant a stable article. I could create a draft which you could contribute to before publication if that would suit you? King Regards, Mojo0306 (talk) 20:42, 15 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I have now created the article at Malinda Kathleen Reese. Feel free to edit! Mojo0306 (talk) 09:35, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
