Please note that even if the copyright issue were resolved, the promotional tone of a company website may well be unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising service or business directory. Please read FAQ/Organizations before you write about your own product or organization. Speedy deletion nomination of Railex

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Railex, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Material crossposted from the talkpage of one of the articles

We are the railex people and want to creat a Wiki page for content and exposure .. we think that our unique service is worthy of and entitled to an informative page in Wikipedia. we just used the same text as our current website as a starter point but would like to add more detailed and historical information in the future .. WE are one of a kind in our operationas and infrastructure never before seen in our industry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mallman64 (talkcontribs)

That is most likely the reason you *shouldn't* be writing the article: you most likely cannot write objectively on the subject. We have guidelines for conflicts of interest, and while one can write an article about oneself it usually doesn't work out so well in practice. Syrthiss (talk) 13:54, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That is fine, although there is a section under railroads for unit trains i was mearly adding more content for that section all be it a poor attempt i have now "requested and article" do you have any other suggestions that i might try?

Well, you did create an article under your userspace along the same lines as the articles you created that were deleted. You could work on making it neutral and reliably sourced with information from newspapers, trade journals etc and the place a {{helpme}} here and ask someone to take a look. Speedy deletion nomination of Railex

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Railex requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

Conflict of interest policy

[edit]

If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. [1] --Ronz (talk) 16:23, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
