Notability of Edith Covensky

[edit]

Hi Manser.ryan. I am concerned that Edith Covensky does not meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline, which is used to determine if a topic is eligible for a stand-alone Wikipedia page. For a topic to be considered notable, it must have received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. You've included several sources in the article; however, I don't think any of them establish Covensky's notability. For example, this is not independent because it's from an institution where she works; this is not reliable because it allows for user-generated content; and this is not significant coverage since it is simply a listing of her works. The other sources have similar issues. Are you aware of any reliable, independent sources (e.g., reviews of her poetry in well-established publications) that you could add to the article? As it presently stands, the article is at risk of being deleted. I would also like to ask: Do you personally know Covensky or are you professionally connected with her in any way? – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 02:37, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edith Covensky moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Edith Covensky, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Please try to fix the citations with appropriate template ({{cite}}). You can work safely in your draft and move to mainspace after the issues get fixed. This will prevent the article from the deletion. Thank you. PATH SLOPU 05:18, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
