Please don't post entire articles of drafts or articles on my user talk page. The article is currently being discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Caroline Karason and it's there where you should be trying to establish a WP:CONSENSUS that it should be kept. I added the {{Autobiography}} maintenance template to the article because you are created WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY about yourself, which is something that is highly frowned upon by Wikipedia. The template just alerts other editors of this fact when they're looking at the article. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:26, 6 December 2023 (UTC)

Bruno Maddox blue dress

if i made a mistake in uploading the blue dress image, is there no way to upload that so that the edit will stand for the bruno maddox page? Iljhgtn (talk) 19:15, 12 December 2023 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you mean by any way, but each use of non-free content needs to satisfy all ten non-free content use criteria and that is really the only way for such content to be considered acceptable to use. If you feel my assessment regarding the way the file was being used in that article was incorrect, you can challenge it and see if you're able to establish a WP:CONSENUS that the file's use is OK. There's no need to re-upload the file in such a case; all you need to do is explain that you're challenging the proposed deletion of the file to the administrator who deleted it and ask them to restore the file per WP:DEPROD so that its use can be further discussed at WP:FFD. You can find out which administrator deleted the file by clicking on File:My Little Blue Dress book cover.jpg. Since the deletion was what is considered a "non-controversial" deletion, the administrator should have no problem restoring the file. If, for some reason, the administrator doesn't respond to your query in a reasonable amount of time or otherwise declines to restore the file, you should be able to make a WP:REFUND request. If, however, you're unable to establish a consensus at FFD that the file's use in the Maddox article clearly satisfies relevant policy, it will most likely only end up deleted again (this time by consensus). So, before requesting that the file be restored, you should first make sure you address the reasons why the file proposed for deletion and establish how the file's use now satisfies relevant policy first. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:57, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
i dont feel that strongly about it. and i trust your judgement then Iljhgtn (talk) 02:02, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

To load pictures, Assistance Please. --USUANE LaDea (talk) 04:29, 14 December 2023 (UTC)

Hi USUANE LaDea. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Uploading images and c:Commons:Upload for general reference. If after reading through those pages, you have more specific questions, feel free to ask them here, at the Wikipedia:Help desk or the Wikipedia:Teahouse. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:22, 14 December 2023 (UTC)

Japanese translations' request

User talk:Immanuelle/Proposed article translations. --95.233.233.43 (talk) 10:16, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

I'm not really interested in taking on a project like that at this time. I also suggest you take a look at WP:OTHERLANGS because non-English Wikipedia articles need to meet English Wikipedia's notability guidelines and other relevant policies and guidelines. Many non-English Wikipedia aren't as rigourous in applying their respective notabiity guidelines and policies regarding reliable sources as is done on English Wikipedia. So, an article about something existing on one of the non-English Wikipedias doesn't automatically mean an article about it should exist on English Wikipedia. Finally, it looks like you posted similar messages on the user talk pages of many other Wikipedians within a very short period of time, but it doesn't look like you've been working any translation of Japanese Wikipedia at all yourself. This kind of mass messaging approach can easily be seen as a type of spamming; so, I suggest you focus more of energy translating articles yourself, then tyring to get others to do so for you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:29, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

More on Tarrio mug shot

Hey MarchJuly! Over at Talk:Enrique_Tarrio we just had an RFC that was closed as "no consensus to include either image". One image was photoshopped and uploaded by a SPA and unverifiable, while the other had the face obscured. Multiple editors suggested we should use the Virginia mug shot -- which has a clear view of the subject's face. I wonder if, under these circumstances, you might reconsider your objection to authorizing a fair use image of Tarrio, if it's truly used as the primary means of visual identification at the top of the article. Feoffer (talk) 10:14, 29 December 2023 (UTC)

Such a use would still be a problem per WP:FREER. Not being used as primary means of identification wasn't the only reason why the image was deleted in the first place. I am, however, only one person and only one of those who felt that the file failed WP:NFCC#1; so, regardless of what I think, you only need to convince enough other people to establish a consensus at FFD that the use meets relevant policy. Since I didn't delete the file, you should really be discussing this with the adminsitrator who did. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:20, 29 December 2023 (UTC)
