Welcome to Wikipedia, MarshallWT! I'm Royal Autumn Crest, and I've been assigned as your mentor. Around 10% of new Wikipedia accounts receive a mentor randomly taken from a list of volunteers. It just means I'm here to help with anything you need! We need to have all kinds of people working together to create an online encyclopedia, so I'm glad you're here. Over time, you will figure out what you enjoy doing the most on Wikipedia.

You might have noticed that you have access to a tutorial and suggested edits. It's recommended that you take advantage of this, as it'll make learning how to edit Wikipedia easier.

If you need assistance with anything or have any questions, click on the "Get editing help" button on the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up a module with links to help pages and a place to ask me questions. You can also ask me questions directly on my talk page, or go here to get help from the wider community.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Template:Manly Warringah Sea Eagles current squad, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Doctorhawkes (talk) 20:56, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Template:Manly Warringah Sea Eagles current squad shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you make disruptive edits to Wikipedia contrary to the Manual of Style, as you did at Template:Manly Warringah Sea Eagles current squad. If you revert again, I'll take the matter further. Doctorhawkes (talk) 10:46, 2 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

Please, do not restart the edit war/vandalism on Template:Manly Warringah Sea Eagles current squad. And please, respond and take part in the discussion. The Banner talk 19:26, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi MarshallWT. I've partially blocked you from editing the page Template:Manly Warringah Sea Eagles current squad due to a slow edit war. There appears to be consensus among editors that flags should not be present in the template, not only that, you refused to discuss the issue with others during the time the template was protected, and decided to continue edit warring after the protection ended. For you information

[edit]

I have filed a case at AN/I (see: Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#MarshallWT) about your continuous editwarring, ignoring all discussion and in general being non-responsive. The Banner talk 14:54, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
You resumed edit warring when your one week page block expired. You are failing to communicate. Therefore, I have blocked you site wide for two weeks. Cullen328 (talk) 17:54, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
