License tagging for Image:Peter mac inst-1w.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Peter mac inst-1w.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:07, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Sydney AFL photos

[edit]

Sorry for the late reply, but just thanking you for the uploading of the Australian rules football photos, they look brilliant, as do all of your shots. They'll come in handy and are great quality. Cheers, Rogerthat Talk 12:52, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Eastern Rosella Photo

[edit]

Hi Mfunnell. When I added two photos to the Eastern Rosella page I noticed your image was a bit dark and I took the liberty of photo shopping a copy for you. I've put it here[1] for you to re-upload to wikipedia (if you wish to).KeresH 23:38, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Hexar-1-weba.jpg

[edit]

FIXED!, already. Wikipedia is very quick to flag this, but it took actual minutes to figure out how to put the right tag on the thing, as compliance seems to come much harder.

I like your work on photography. Very good. I was wondering as you are very activ eon flickr whether you could try to get some free images of Tahiti and some of the other Pacific islands. The supply on wikipedia is very low indeed. Is it possible you could get hold of some freely licensed ones or ask an image creator to allow them for commerical use on wikiepdia? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 13:54, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:Australian king parrot-pair-1-web.jpg

[edit]

File:Australian king parrot-pair-1-web.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Australian king parrot couple.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Australian king parrot couple.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 12:56, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Austlink Business Park has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
