Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Rockefeller University Press. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. This is your final warning on copyright infringement in Rockefeller University Press. If you believe you are authorised to release this material into the public domain, please consult Copyright owners who submitted their own work to Wikipedia. Thanks, Bovlb (talk) 22:16, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
It would be better for you to just add to the article rather than directly copy from your web site. Bear in mind that Wikipedia has no easy way of knowing who you are; you could be posting from Russia for all they know, so they just don't want the risk of copying something copyrighted. Empty
[edit]Please do not create empty articles. They have the negative effect of tending to conceal the need for a real article. — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 22:44, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
- Having read the above, I just looked at this user's history of contributions, and it does not appear that he's created any new articles. Michael Hardy (talk) 21:55, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:JEM 207 10 cover.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:JEM 207 10 cover.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:48, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
