New at this
[edit]Hey there,
I'm fairly new at editing. I'm the user who requested the Philadelphia Inquirer articles. Do I just forward you my email on this page? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JRose1317 (talk • contribs) 22:52, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
- @JRose1317: No worries. Click on my name, and on the left side, there's a clickable link that says Email this user (underneath Tools). Then all you need is to send an email. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 22:55, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 8
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Never Again (The Midway State song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Keane. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

History merges
[edit]- Please, how far are you through your current work of finding cut-and-paste moves from user and draft pages to articles, that need history-merging? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:26, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Anthony Appleyard: I've been going through the stale userspace drafts to reduce the backlog. However, I've seen it's a futile attempt because you're (currently) the only one who is regularly histmerging. You need a lot more regular help. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 18:52, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

Thoughts on RX idea
[edit]I've been thinking lately about ways to get sources to the right people, and I came up with the following idea. Going to copy/paste part of an email I recently sent about this. Let me know if you might be interested in helping out with this (as your time permits, of course) if it gets off the ground.
"Lately, I've been looking for better ways to publicize the Resource Exchange and get sources in the right hands, and I think it may make sense to partner with edit-a-thons to provide remote research assistance.
The way I envision it, Resource Exchange volunteers would participate remotely from various research libraries around the United States via an IRC channel or other type of live chat. If editors are struggling to find sources for a particular subject, we could assist them in doing so using databases most editors are unlikely to have access to. We could provide immediate access to sources available through online databases or could perform an in-person search at our libraries for print or microform sources if necessary. If we're unable to immediately access a source for whatever reason (e.g. interlibrary loan needed), we could follow up with that editor and provide them with the source at a later date."
~ Rob13Talk 22:13, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- @BU Rob13: That would be very interesting. :) A question though: I'm in Canada though. Would the editathons be expanded to North America or globally if more interested is gained? --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 22:35, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- I have no problem supporting editathons globally. I just threw the US out there to emphasize that it would be volunteers from different locations; I was unaware you were in Canada, but that's helpful, if anything, since you'll be able to access different sources. You just need to be familiar with both Canadian and US copyright law to know what you can/can't legally provide access to under fair use. ~ Rob13Talk 22:39, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- Lol, my userpage didn't give it away? ;) Regarding copyright, I do know that there is a different copyright for canada for works to be declared public domain (don't remember how long exactly). Also, most requests are usually fine on the RX as long as they are for wikipedia articles and not full book scans? --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 22:43, 11 June 2017 (UTC)

Hello!
[edit]Hi MrLinkinPark33, I am interested in keeping the good work with the Billboard charts. Please let me know if you are planning something in particular? Thanks. Javier Espinoza (talk) 02:05, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- @Jaespinoza: I've been making charting RPM and billboard articles. I haven't made a full plan, but it could be nice if more emphasize was made to fill in the gaps of charting music that should have articles. I'll let you know in a separate email. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 02:07, 14 June 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Going forward, please italicize every instance of Billboard [since it's a publication] and every album title, movie title, and book title. This is per MOS:TITLE. Thanks. --Jennica✿ / talk 06:11, 14 July 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in He's Sure the Boy I Love, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Hi. Thankyou for your participation in the challenge series or/and contests. In November The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There will be over $4000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. If this would appeal to you and you think you'd be interested in contributing new articles on women during this month for your region or wherever please sign up in the participants section. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate and raise money to buy books about women for others to use, this is also fine. Thankyou, and if taking part, good luck!♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:49, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
