[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Rick Mora, makes articles harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. {{Help me}} I'm not sure what I'm doing. The man has many fans, but no article to tell who he is, only search results. The protocol of this site is confusing, so if anyone could "fix" this article, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks. NewMoonWolf (talk) 17:42, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Rick Mora
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rick Mora requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Dori ☾Talk ⁘ Contribs☽ 03:35, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
Dori I'm new. I'm not sure what to do about the Rick Mora page. I want to make the page better, but I don't know how. The man has many fans but no article to tell who he is, only search results from a search engine. There are plenty of those. He has interviews in magazines but the magazine sites will not allow me to obtain a link to the article. Help? Suggestions, in plain English, please. Anyone? Thanks! NewMoonWolf (talk) 18:06, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
The article Rick Mora has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable actor. Uncredited appearances and roles as an extra are not sufficient to meet WP:NACTOR. No sources that aren't self-published, so he doesn't meet WP:GNG. I looked for further references, but couldn't find any that would support an article.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Dori ☾Talk ⁘ Contribs☽ 00:21, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Hello NewMoonWolf, sorry to hear that. I hope that doesn't change your mind about using Wikipedia. Let me give five key rules about editing Wikipedia. 1st Don't be unconstructive and disruptive to Wikipedia articles(you will receive warnings from admins and bots). 2nd If adding any information to a article or creating an article, please add citations! Admins, will warn you if you make this mistake. 3rd assume good faith, what I mean by that is assume that any other editor you encounter is also "here to build an encyclopedia" unless there is evidence to the contrary. Note that simply disagreeing with you is not "evidence to the contrary". 4th Wikipedia is not about winning or losing and holding grudges against other editors who disagree with you only creates unnecessary drama that distracts others from improving the encyclopedia. 5th Keep a neutral point of view, don't make assumptions or opinions that are only in your perception. If I didn't answer your question correctly or you need clarification, please feel free to talk to me on my talk page! Thanks for visiting! Have a great day! (:
