I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 13:39, 25 December 2021 (UTC) Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you.
First of all, thank you for creating that article. But I saw that you translated it from the Mandarin-Chinese Wikipedia without attributing the authors, next time please provide attribution when you translate something into English. Enjoy editing Wikipedia. --Donald Trung (talk) 21:57, 24 January 2022 (UTC)

Ukrainian Association of Sinologists moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Ukrainian Association of Sinologists, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:06, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

About Tibetan articles
[edit]It's better to use Tibetan names (Tibetan pinyin) rather than Chinese names (Hanyu pinyin) in Tibetan articles. Many common Tibetan personal and place names can be found in this dictionary: "陈观胜; 安才旦 (April 2004). 《常见藏语人名地名词典》 (in Simplified Chinese) (1 ed.). Beijing: 外文出版社 [Foreign Languages Press]. ISBN 7-119-03497-9.". El caballero de los Leones (talk) 11:12, 30 May 2023 (UTC)

Page move
[edit]Hello, Newbamboo,
Please do not move a high profile, heavily edited article to a different page title without discussing it on the talk page first. Your move will just be reverted. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 18:03, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 23
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lake Chad, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page WCMC. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Lake Chad rewrite
[edit]Greetings, was there a particular purpose for this rewrite? User:Ashemur has reverted it with a reason. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 18:43, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. Why did you user:newbamboo see fit to delete the whole 'Threats and Preservation' section of the Lake Chad article without any discussion?
- 'Stale information' and your assertion that 'Chinese version of Wikepedia is a good article' is not a valid reason to delete vast swathes of an article that many people have spent a lot of time on. Many might also justifiably doubt the veracity and reliability of at least some of the articles and sources in the Chinese version of wikipedia...
- Aid1969 (talk) 16:28, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi and thank you for bringing this to the attention of more people. As @Aid1969 is mentioning, I can't believe @Newbamboo's complete rewrite and censorship is still the official page today and nothing has been done to prevent them from doing more harm to Wikipedia. Can we consult higher moderators of Wikipedia to settle this ? Ashemur (talk) 02:38, 21 December 2023 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Ukrainian Association of Sinologists
[edit]Hello, Newbamboo. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Ukrainian Association of Sinologists".
