Disambiguation link notification for September 14[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of D.C. United records and statistics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chicago Fire (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Soccer tables[edit]

Hello there! Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. Unfortunately, I've had to revert several of them on various stadium articles, mainly dealing with tables for international soccer matches held at individual facilities. These kinds of tables aren't appropriate for articles on a given stadium because they are outside the WP:SCOPE of the article and constitute WP:FANCRUFT. Generally, tables showing game results are appropriate for articles on a specific season or a specific event like the World Cup or other tournament, but not for individual facilities since those facilities host hundreds of games in various sports and other events. While there should certainly be mention of usage for soccer in the given stadium articles, the section should be more general, mentioning some of the most notable games it has hosted, but as a summary (see FirstEnergy Stadium#Soccer for an example). Basically, stadium articles should give a general overview of the stadium: it's usage, design, history, etc., but not a list of every event that has ever taken place there. If you have questions, please ask! :) --JonRidinger (talk) 17:37, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, List of World of Outlaws seasons, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, Nicademus5286. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of World of Outlaws seasons".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 21:57, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Advisement of Proposed Deletion[edit]

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that I've proposed the deletion of an article you recently created, namely, Buckshot speedway. For an article to be included on Wikipedia, it must meet our notability standards. These guidelines exist because Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Based on the current state of the article, and based on it's subject matter, I don't believe it rises to the level of notablility that Wikipedia demands.

As the article's author, per the proposed deletion procedures, you have the right to contest my deletion simply by removing the template from the page. This will halt the process immediately. Should you choose to do this please note that myself, and other editors, may opt to bring the article to a venue known as articles for deletion. This is where the community will discuss whether to delete the article or otherwise do something else with it. This procedure is not something you (or anyone) can unilaterally stop. Presuming you do not contest my proposed deletion, the notice will remain on the page for 7 days, after which an administrator will delete the page if they find my rationale to be sound.

So, what can you do? Aside from contesting the deletion, you could move the page to draft space or into your own user space. No idea what I mean when I say "space"? This page may give you more information about that. Moving the page will allow you time to work on it to try and get it up to standards. Should you send it to draft space, I'd check out our venue known as articles for creation. This area of Wikipedia is helmed by experienced editors that will give you the thumbs up or down as to whether or not an article in draft space can be moved into mainspace.

If you have any questions whatsoever, or if you want help with something, feel free to hop over to my talk page and shoot me a message. I will attempt to help you to the best of my ability or, short of that, tell you where you can get your requested help. Cheers! —Sirdog (talk) 06:39, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
