Gold/REd/Master Vdramon

[edit]

Both GoldVdramon and MasterVdramon seem to appear in the TCG, since there're card codes listed for them.

No, i haven't played the game. I removed the stuff because i thought it sounded extremly suspicious - GoldVdramon is defintely an armor since Veemon in the TCG can become GoldVdramon through a digiegg. An armor DNAing with a champion to form an ultimate seems very odd.

Until there're something other than wikipedia which says GoldVdramon and REdVdramon jogress to give MasterVdramon, the statement shouldn't go into the article. Because it seems to be based on only your memory of the game.

If the statement is true, it shouldn't be too hard for you to find another internet source which will support it. D1Tamers isn't that obscure a game.

Until them, i'm removing those bits of digivolution information.

If GoldVdramon does DNA digivolve with REdVdramon, the digivolution section of his article will need to be split. One line for the TCG and one for the game. Since Armor digimon defintely can't do DNA digivolution within the rules of the TCG.

talking about sources - i don't suppose you could explain where the rest of REdVdramon's digivolution line comes from? As in the Chibomon-DemiVmon-Vmon-RedVdramon bit? Because Vmon in the card game doesn't digivolve into RedVdramon. And i can't find any TCG information on RedVdramon. Or is Vmon the predecessor of both GoldVdramon and RedVdramon in this D1Tamer game too? --`/aksha 02:57, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First of all MasterVeedramon has no card, if you look at his alleged image it says Bo-552 (the only reason I haven't removed it is because I have nothing to replace it with), that is Veedramon according to Shining Evolution http://shiningevo.ultimatedigimon.com/encyclopedia/index/booster12.html and various other sites, that Veedramon is more than likely just a virus version which would explain its dark image. Both MasterVeedramon and RedVeedramon have never appeared outside of D1 Tamers, in the game, GoldVeedramon and RedVeedramon are given to the player by Gennai, this FAQ proves it http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/wscolor/file/digimon_adventure_2_d1_tamers_a.txt
Unfortunately RedVeedramon is given to you as RedVeedramon (you can't raise him from the fresh level), his previous forms are speculation, but he can evolve to AeroVeedramon, then to Goldramon, although its best to save him until you obtain GoldVeedramon so you can jogress them to get MasterVeedramon.Nightmare SE 10:08, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like I was wrong about one thing, RedVeedramon appears in Digimon D Project, he evolves from Elecmon and evolves to AeroVeedramon.Nightmare SE 10:46, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
hmm, if the picture is wrong (as it seems to be), then we really should remove it, since it's misleading. I'll try to find a picture of it. You say you've played the game where MasterVdramon appears in, i don't suppose you would be able to get a screenshot or picture of the game somehow when MasterVdramon appears - which we would be able to use as its picture under Fair Use guildlines.
Secondly, the fact that an armor and a champion can jogree digivolve still seems awfully odd. There are a few digimon who have more than one level. I don't suppose if you'd remember whether the game actually gave GoldVdramon's levels? basically, i'm beginning to suspect GoldVdramon could be similar case to Rapidmon (as in similar to how Rapidmon is both an armor digimon in the movies, and a ultimate digimon in tamers).
Anyhow, i'm going to split GoldVdramon's evolution section into two parts. The GoldVdramon in the TCG defintely doesn't Jogress with RedVdramon, and i think it's safe to say the GoldVdramon from the game isn't exactly golden armor. --`/aksha 11:29, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'd have to start the game all over again to get a screenshot, I really don't plan on replaying D1 Tamers anytime soon.
I don't really remember but seeing as he evolves to AeroVeedramon its safe to assume he was a champion in the game.

Digimon Summary Boxes

[edit]

Hey brother. I'm pretty new to the Digimon wikiproject. I've been adding summary boxes where ever I notice that they're not. I've seen you've filled them out with the information that I don't know. good job. If there's anything else I can do to help the Digimon wikiproject or anything i'm doing wrong. Just let me know. - codu (t/c) 22:47, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey man, keep up the good work, I'll fill up any boxes you make, when I have the time that is. Nightmare SE 23:20, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Royal Knights edit

[edit]

"Magnamon and Gallantmon were not the most powerful "hero digimon" to appear in their respective series."

Granted Magnamon wasn't the most powerful, as he was armor so that could be removed but Gallantmon, especially in his Crimson Mode was the strongest "hero" digimon in tamers, from what I can remember. If I am wrong could you mention who is the strongest?WarDragon 00:05, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gallantmon Crimson Mode is not counted as one of the Royal Knights, also to say Gallantmon (normal mode) is stronger than Justimon, Sakuyamon, MegaGargomon, Beelzemon Blast Mode and even Beelzemon (Guardromon helped Gallantmon in their fight) would be speculation Nightmare SE 00:17, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks for the confirmation, but should I get rid of the "trends" section? as the only other point has been repeated in another section. WarDragon 00:37, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I guess, unless you can think of something else to add. Nightmare SE 00:46, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ok, thank you for your help, it is appreciated WarDragon 00:57, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flamon edit

[edit]

Sorry to bother, but I noticed you removing Flamemon from the category Fictional characters with the power to manipulate fire. Could you explain why? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ace Class Shadow (talkcontribs) 22:30, 11 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I just explained in my last edit, but let me add more to that, several Digimon articles are poluted with needless fictional X categories that can not even be proven. Nightmare SE 22:33, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Your reasoning makes little sense. Let just say, though, that the character in question has been shown to have pyrokinetic abilities. In the future, please do not engage in edit warring and simply wait for discussion to react a solid resolution. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 22:41, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hundreds of characters have shown the ability to control or manipulate fire in the Digimon franchise, there are even specific types of Digimon associated with Fire, almost all Digimon articles are currently undergoing a mass-merger further making most categories useless, furthermore fictional X categories inserted in Digimon articles have been removed in the past by other members of the Digimon System Update. Nightmare SE 22:49, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, first off, could you stop using terminology only you (and/or a certain group of people you work with) do? Also, if you admit Flamemon manipulates fire, I don't see why you can call for the removal of this fitting category. Any supposed future mergers aside, can you give me a specific reason why Flamemon—not the general Digimon population—doesn't belong in this category? And please, no more rhetoric. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 22:56, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Funny I don't recall using any special terminology. Flamemon can not manipulate fire in general, but rather has fire a few elemental attacks which are shown in Digimon video game Digimon Rumble Arena 2. Oh and please lay off the arrogance while you're at it, also the merger has begun, its a slow process. Nightmare SE 23:09, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"Fictional X category"? You were talking to me as if I had been diiscussing the issue with you for days. I'm sorry if this is old hat to you and I seem "arrogant", but you're still removing a valid category. Most fictional characters don't manipulate. Or, if they do, they use some external device. I've yet to see Flamemon with a blowtorch or a box of matches. However the character chooses to use their power, they manipulate fire as an inherent abilities. Whether or not you came to the decision that such a category was "unneed" by yourself, I must question your logic, or lack thereof. Spontaneoisly creating fire simply to use offensively is still a form of pyrokinesis, or something similar. To say Flamemon's usage doesn't count because it's "just some attacks" seems more like a POV than a valid argument, and removing the category might then be an atttempt to distruptively prove your point. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 23:20, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The "X" in "Fictional X category" is a generic placeholder variable for fictional categories, most Fictional X categories in Digimon are speculation or are simply inaccurate for example Garurumon X currently has a "Fictional werewolves" category while Garurumon X can't even be verified as a Wolf let alone a Werewolf. Most if not all Fictional X categories seem to be coming from one specific contributor. Also the element of Flamemon's attacks can not be verified, attack names (dub or even original names) mean nothing, for example, Garurumon X uses an attack called "Fox Fire", the attack is in no way related to fire, its an Ice attack (the same contibutor added the fire category to his article). Oh and one last thing, I'm not sure how I'm coming off to you but I in no way wish to take away anything from Digimon articles, I have added categories to hundreds of Digimon articles, I would also suggest we take this up in the Digimon System Update but with the merger it would be rather pointless since very few Digimon will have their own articles soon. Nightmare SE 23:41, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see. So, you think it's the species and elements which are unverifiable. Therefore, the removal. That makes sense, I suppose. I'll remove the category myself, but I would advise that you don't follow Wikipedia's verifiability over accuracy stance too closely to the letter rather than the spirit. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 23:55, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well I'm glad this is resolved, I hope there aren't any hard feelings, I will try and explain myself better when removing information from an article.Nightmare SE 23:58, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings friend.

[edit]

Does the attitude and personlaity rely on the tamer or is that digimon already like that? Because I have had many cooments about it but not here on wikipedia but on one of my website url's. Thank you for your time. Goodbye. Male_Renamon 18:54, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Most Digimon are wild and do not have Tamers and therefore have their own attitude and personalities although its my belief that Tamers can change their Digimon's personality over time. Nightmare SE 19:12, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ultimates and Megas

[edit]

Why do you keep removing all of the Ultimates and Megas off of the characters. Digimon adventure 3 will feature them.

Who do you think you're fooling? There is no 3rd season of Digimon Adventure, besides the fact that the 5th season is still airing in Japan (which has absolutely nothing to do with Digimon Adventure), Veemon, Hawkmon, Wormmon and Armadillomon's Ultimate and Mega forms were already stated in the D-3 YEARS ago, before Digimon like Alphamon or JewelBeemon ever existed. Nightmare SE 15:32, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

I don't watch Digimon anymore, but I'm trying to add Category:Manga and anime characters who can fly to all the right pages of fictional characters of anime/manga who fly (with or without wings). I started at the Dragon Ball characters' pages, then some of the vampire related manga/anime series such as Hellsing, and now I'm tryin' to get the right Digimon articles. Can you help me out here by adding that cat. to the right anime/manga articles? Power level (Dragon Ball) 04:02, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not really too sure about the category myself, you see Digimon unlike Dragon Ball exists outside the anime and manga, there's hundreds of Digimon that can fly that have not appeared in the anime or manga (like Tsukaimon, or TyrantKabuterimon), I also doubt those categories will stick since the Mon articles are currently undergoing a mass-merger as most articles don't meet WP:FICT. Nightmare SE 13:04, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. May i also add that it's since many digimon articles will be turned into redirects, adding categories for articles in them is not very appropriate. The category "redirects form digimon" is a cat specifically for sorting redirects. In most cases, redirects aren't added into any categories except the redirect-sorting ones. We've decided to keep the other digimon categories (e.g. digimon by level), but adding articles categories (like "manga and anime characters who can fly) into redirects is not good. Furtuer more, adding them into articles is not good anymore since not all forms of the digimon fit that description. Even on the Patamon article, i'm not 100% comfortable wtih having the cat "Manga and anime characters who can fly", because techincally, patamon's fresh form can't fly. And i don't think Shakkoumon can fly either. --`/aksha 13:31, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Then, I'll leave it to you guys then since you're the experts. I'll stop adding that category to the Digimon in manga or anime that can fly. Power level (Dragon Ball) 18:46, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects

[edit]

Please read Wikipedia:Redirect#Categories for redirect pages. Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 12:40, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Those categories can not be inserted into the main page as the main page is a master list. Nightmare SE 12:46, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why not? CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 01:02, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Because master lists such as List of Fresh Digimon have several different species in it, this is all part of a mass merger for Digimon articles as when they were seperate they did not meet WP:Fict. Now alternate names for Digimon thats where Wikipedia:Redirect#Categories for redirect pages would apply, for example Agnimon (who is better known as Agunimon). If you wish to discuss this further I suggest you take it up with WP:DIGI. Nightmare SE 01:18, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Kiimon.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kiimon.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:45, 27 May 2007 (UTC). Fair use rationale for Image:BlackGrowlmon.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:BlackGrowlmon.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:20, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:UltimateChaosmon.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:UltimateChaosmon.jpg.
