Images[edit]

You seem to be uploading a lot of images to Wikipedia. However, a lot of the images you are adding into articles are redundant, and misplaced (too large, disrupt flow of article, etc.). Please don't be offended but I have removed many of the images you have inserted into the articles. More often than not, no explanation of what the image is is offered, eg this image on this page has no explanation. It does not seem appropriate.

First of all, I don't know by what authority you go removing all my images. I'm posting on pages with significance to specific communities of people and posting legit, professional images that enhance those pages. The viewers of these sites desire this content. I am explaining the photos in the captions, so they are not random, and they are CERTAINLY NOT redundant. The Montalvo and McCarrick pages don't even HAVE photos for them to be redundant of. Newt's photo is old, so I posted a new one. The O'Connell shots are of the President of the University, and that's explained in the captions. So, that knocks down those points you made.

As for the layout, I'll concede I don't know how to lay them out properly, as Wikipedia's mechanism to do that is confusing and silly. It would be much appreciated if you can either put them in the articles nicely, or explain in an easy manner how I can do it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nikkinikon (talk • contribs)

Images with captions typed on are not very professional looking... thus I removed it. Some of the other images are redundant in the articles when there is already another photo of the person in question. By the fair use policy you're only really supposed to have as many images as required to "illustrate the person in question", which would be one in most cases.

I am now familiar with the Editor concept. I did not know Wikipedia had such a thing. I also understand the need for only one photo. Let's discuss then the images where there are no others on the page. I see you professionalized the McCarrick shot, and I thank you for that. Firstly, let me give you a little nugget of information. If you place four tildes, eg ~~~~, at the end of your posts on talk pages, the software automagically inserts your username, the date and current time!

Now to the images... I'll do this page by page.

Michael Bloomberg - the image has a caption, which isn't professional looking. Secondly, the image is a little too close to be of use for identification purposes. This essentially means that the image is useless in the article.
Abdullah II of Jordan - the image is redundant to an image already in the article, providing identification of Abdullah.
Newt Gingrich - This one is a little more involved. Your image, Image:Newtging.jpg is copyrighted and has all rights released. However the one in the article is under the public domain. The WP:FAIR policy dictates public domain images must always be taken over their non-free alternatives. But considering that your image has all rights released, it might be possible to replace the old image with your new one. I'll think about this.
Marty Markowitz - The caption made me remove your image Image:Thebeep.jpg, from this one. If you upload the same image without the caption I'd be happy to add it into the article.
Theodore Cardinal McCarrick - I formatted the image to display it more professionally in this article.

The reason I reverted your edits to The Catholic University of America was because the images aren't really relevant in the article. I didn't know why they were there. I don't think it's really appropriate to have the images in that article.

I understand your analysis of all the photos on those pages. I appreciate your explaining all these policies. I would ask that you professionalize the facial shot of Gabriel Montalvo, as that matches all the criteria and there are no photos of him on his page.
