April 2016[edit]

Information icon Your recent edit to Gowda appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Gowda. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. The request for citations is valid. The article is about people with the surname Gowda, so it is completely understandable why an explanation would be required for people with other surnames. Without such information those entries are likely to be removed. Meters (talk) 21:49, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore:
  1. Please read WP:BRD. When your edit has been undone it is up to you to discuss it on the article's talk page. Do not keep restoring this material.
  2. Please read WP:RS since you attempted to add a new section with no sources at all.
  3. Please read WP:MOS, particularly MOS:SECTIONS and Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Titles_of_people. Many of your changes to existing entries introduced errors.
  4. Please don't introduce redundant pipes.
  5. Watch your spelling. You changed many correct spellings to erroneous ones. "Chief" is correct, not "chiek", "Parliament" is correct, not "Parliment", and "academician" is correct, not "acamedician". Meters (talk) 21:49, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Vokkaliga  with this edit, without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:53, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Vokkaliga with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:55, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Vokkaliga with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:59, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Vokkaliga with this edit. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 09:02, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits[edit]

Please do not copy content from one article and paste it into another article. You need to familiarize yourself with the Wikipedia policies and guidelines (such as Verifiability and others linked in Meters' comment above). I suggest going through Wikipedia:Training before you make any further edits.

Remember, competence is required to edit Wikipedia. If you continue to add content without sources or copy-pasting content despite objections from others, you will end up getting blocked as mentioned by Oshwah above. utcursch | talk 16:48, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
