Small fonts
[edit]I noticed you recently changed the text size in a table in 2016 Summer Olympics medal table. This seem considerably contrary to MOS:SMALLFONT: ...used sparingly... In no case should the resulting font size drop below 85% ...
- Increased to 85%. Nitobus (talk) 18:00, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
- I still think it's a dubious use of the font size. Presumably it makes the table look better on your screen, but does it have the same effect on other screens with different margins? Generally, the use of small fonts is a problem for people with impaired eyesight, so the usual use I'd expect would be a few words of deprecated text or something. Changing an entire table to a smaller size seems questionable. Regards, Tarl N. (discuss) 18:02, 16 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2014 Winter Olympics medal table, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alexander Bessmertnykh (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Switzerland at the Summer Olympics
[edit]In your comment after undoing an edit of mine, you said Switzerland was not at the 1920, 1940 and 1944 Olympics. It was in Antwerp.Nate-Dawg921 (talk) 19:18, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, it was typo. It was not at the 1916, 1940 and 1944.Nitobus (talk) 19:52, 25 July 2019 (UTC)

[edit]All-time Olympic Games medal table
[edit]There is every need to explain the changes you are making to All-time Olympic Games medal table. Because if you don't, how is anyone supposed to know that you are making constructive changes. All you had to do was add an edit summary of "Update per Talk:1896 Summer Olympics medal table#Revision of IOC 1896 Olympics medal table that was made in July 2021 (only linking to this one is suffiecent as you linked to all the others), or, even better, you could have added the list to Talk:All-time Olympic Games medal table and linked there in your edit summary. Our edit war could have easily been avoided if you had explained the basis for your edits in your summaries, rather than just make the edits. SSSB (talk) 10:40, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the constructive criticism. I will add an explanatory section to Talk:All-time Olympic Games medal table. Nitobus (talk) 10:45, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
- No worries. Also, what were the grounds for changing the medal count for USA, it currently contradicts USA at the Olympics. SSSB (talk) 11:16, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
- There is no contradiction for USA now: Gold 1165, Silver 943, Bronze 826. However, for USA there were generally incorrect data, not only in connection with the Olympiads 1896-1904. I don't know why USA data were so flawed.

The article New Zealand at the 1900 Summer Olympics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Subject is not a thing! — as the first sentence says, New Zealand did not send a team to the 1900 Summer Olympics. All of the content is already fully covered at Mixed team at the 1900 Summer Olympics.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
