Looks like you're back[edit]

Glad to see it...be cool or they will simply push the eject button. I'd have to say that they have been more gracious than I would have expected...so don't let us down!:)--MONGO 22:26, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I usually answer all queries on my talkpage, but thought I would repost my comments here as well...Recent changes patrol is never something that is bad...just reverting vandalism would be great. Current events can be full of edit wars...so I might think that would be a problem. Not everyone that frequents wiki is prone to add the level of well refrenced information that you do, so you have to remember to be patient. Do you have a particular area of personal interest...aside from politics and similar things? There are many WikiProjects that are looking for new members...check here for a directory that leads to a list of potential areas that might interest you.--MONGO 23:10, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hafis Salich[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Hafis Salich, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Unspecified source for Image:Mugs(14).jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mugs(14).jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:31, 8 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 21:31, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alger Hiss amongst others[edit]

I've backed off editing pages of pretty much any accused (but not self-admitted) communists in America since there are a couple individuals who've taken it upon themselves to take up the guantlet against any real or imagined modern "McCarthyism". See my latest post to the Alger Hiss Talk page which notes just a part of the evidence and then compare that with the state of the article. It reads more like something you'd see in a radical-left publication in terms of the time and space given to the arguments of a tiny and dwindling minority. Even at The Nation they concede historians have formed a consensus which this Wiki article won't. One editor in particular refused to go to arbitration, and then when he did with respect to someone else, the ArbCom ended up to be totally uninterested in the actual content dispute! They just banned this editor's opponent. Apparently ArbCom is just a disciplinary body, which won't solve anything, since even if someone is banned they'll just be back in the future. In any case, while I'm not suggesting any particular page is in need of your editing attention, you may wish to monitor the state of affairs such that you may be interested in contacting me if a development of note arises. Similarly, feel free to contact me if you are encountering a situation that could use more third party perspective.Bdell555 (talk) 12:47, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Philip Levy and others[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated articles are Philip Levy, Frank Dziedzik, Moishe Stern, Eugénie Olkhine, William Mackey (spy), Bernice Levin. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to the relevant discussion pages: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Philip Levy for Philip Levy, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Frank Dziedzik for Frank Dziedzik, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Moishe Stern for Moishe Stern, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eugénie Olkhine for Eugénie Olkhine, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/William Mackey (spy) for William Mackey (spy), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bernice Levin for Bernice Levin. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:14, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Grigory Kheifets, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.conservapedia.com/Grigory_Kheifets. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. While I understand that you are the original writer of the article, Conservapedia's copyright policy does not make it clear whether you still own the copyright or if you have surrendered it to them. Please see Talk:Grigory Kheifets. @harej 01:26, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

March 2010[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Constructive?[edit]

I think your definition of constructive is obviously very different from mine. The intervention is the most productive thing we have seen in weeks. Now its your turn to come up with specific content issues or move past this whole mess. Tmtoulouse (talk) 21:20, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

CP[edit]

Your last edit was neither a minor edit, as you marked it, nor a fix of a typo. If you want to add that section to the article, fine, source it, but don't remove sourced content in the process. Beach drifter (talk) 02:52, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

3RR[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on conservapedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Tmtoulouse (talk) 03:46, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio in Conservapedia[edit]

Your addition to Conservapedia has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Please note that I am referring to this edit that you made. The text seems to have been copied from this source. It looks like it was directly copied and pasted into the article with a few words being switched around or taken out; this still counts as a copyright violation. Content in articles should always be written in 100% original wording (of course, there are exceptions such as quotes and public domain material, but this doesn't fall under any of them). Please see WP:PARAPHRASE for more in-depth info. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 02:50, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
