Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Comparison of spreadsheet software. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Dear Alexf, Please revise your statement. I have not added any promotional material to the page. I simply added one more tool to the list of available tools. If this is to be considered promotional material, then by consequence the whole page should be promptly deleted.

Excuse me but you are spamming your own website (here). That is a conflict of interest. If you want to increase traffic to your website, please do it somewhere else. If you want to illustrate a point, please be advised we require reliable references and writing from a neutral point of view. Your personal website is not acceptable. If you have any questions about how Wikipedia works, please ask at the Tea House. -- Alexf(talk) 10:06, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I realise now that it is the external link that it's posing a problem. Is it OK if I just remove the link to my webpage? Anyway, as you can notice, if you read the link, I'm not trying to make a profit. In fact my tool is free and working in the same principles as Wikipedia.

Did not say anything about profit. That is not the point. Spamming is. If you have any questions about how Wikipedia works, please ask at the Tea House. -- Alexf(talk) 20:59, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
