Better source request for File:Kingdomq.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kingdomq.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:01, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

      Problem Rectified
      Ossih (talk) 10:07, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article KingdomQuest has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication that this meets notability guidelines

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. • Ossih : I have removed the template for the simple reason that I think that I can put more information but I just need help to know what to put and how to organise it.

Ossih (talk) 03:06, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, thank you very much for letting me know that you removed the tag. That's a courtesy even many experienced editors forget. As to what you need to do; the article needs to have a claim of notability. For instance, if it sold a large number of copies, or if it was made by a notable company, you should add that in. Also, you will want to have at least a couple of references showing that it has been covered by reliable independent sources. You should take a look at the two pages I've linked to and see what you can find. One thing that may help you is to userfy the article so you can work on it at your own pace; another editor who comes across this might not realize that it's a work in progress and nominate it for deletion. I can take care of doing that for you if you'd like. Please let me know if you need any help, and I will be more than happy to assist you. • Ossih : I can't find anything about notability for this specific game. But the producers are known for their mind challenging board games. Does that help? Also I have put up a list of references.

Nomination of KingdomQuest for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article KingdomQuest is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/KingdomQuest until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 05:03, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Kingdomq.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Kingdomq.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 04:50, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

John McKay Re-Assessment Request

[edit]

I noticed that you are listed as an Assessment Team member for WikiProject Toronto, and would like to recommend re-assessment of the John McKay (politician), an article within the scope of WikiProject Toronto which I have re-assessed on behalf of WikiProject Biography since it hardly qualifies as a Stub anymore. --TommyBoy (talk) 11:11, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, re your post at WT:AV, I'd say that "Start" class is correct. There are far too may unreferenced paragraphs for me to be happy with even C class. Mjroots (talk) 16:40, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
