Roman Traditional Movement on Wikidata

[edit]

Why are you replacing reconstructionist Roman religion with Roman Traditional Movement at wikidata:Q2254859? All the articles in other language versions are about the overall movement/tendency of reviving/restoring/revitalising Roman religion. The MTR is one specific organisation involved in that, it doesn't correspond to the articles on Italian Wikipedia, Spanish Wikipedia etc. Ffranc (talk) 12:05, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If it is about the name of the article ("reconstructionist"), the proper thing to do is to bring that up on the talk page, preferably together with some sources compatible with WP:RS. The current name is indeed unfortunate because it is derived from one particular approach, and this has been discussed on the talk page without reaching any really good solution. But if you read the article it is about the overall subject, including all different approaches that have existed, old or new, good or bad, Italian or American etc. It's not constructive to edit war on Wikidata. The best thing right now would probably be to find some sources that can make the situation at least somewhat better, although I fear it can't become really good with the scholarship that currently exists.
