New pages - names

[edit]

Hi there! Thanks for your work on Panteley and Gerasim.

I don't know if you're on a trend with the pages you're creating or not. If so, you may want to look at the last version of the pages which are are now disambiguation pages that will allow for users to enter the page name and find references to other Wikipedia pages.

This is accomplished by:

  • adding {{disambig}} on a line below your list of people, places or things.
  • formatting the pages in sections, like Panteley, if there are a number of uses of the word and just a short list like Gerasim where there isn't a need for sections
  • adding {{disambigproject}} to the talk page.

If you click on the links on the Panteley page you'll also see that I added a "For" or "Other uses" type template at the top of the pages for each linked article. This will prevent the article from being an orphan - and allow people who stumble upon a page to be able to get to your disambig list and find the right link to the article they're looking for.

I hope this helps! Happy editing!--CaroleHenson (talk) 06:11, 15 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
