[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Ruff Kid, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 10:04, 8 December 2022 (UTC)
- Apologies for that and for the late than usual response. However, all changes that were made in 2022 were all in consultation with the artist himself. Needless to say, but the changes were necessary for branding purposes.
- PS: Just learned of the chat button on the cite would have replied if I knew. Patrick Chipandwe (talk) 10:32, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Ruff Kid, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 15:16, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Magnolia677. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Kitwe, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:28, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Patrick Chipandwe, I recommend heeding to this message above. GeographicAccountant (talk) 08:00, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- I was in process of adding citations and expanding on the history of the city. Well I give up. Because you have to verify all citations. Patrick Chipandwe (talk) 09:54, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know what county you from, nonetheless, finding credible source of citations is a nearly impossible undertaking in Zambia. Information is merely available especially of old music. The citations used in all my edited articles are credible and anyone can counter check it. Additionally the edits I made to the Ruff Kid article was under his instructions, so I don't know how you can taking out information on articles you have researched on or understanding. I am Zambian and I understand this very well. Please guide me as to what kid of citations are needed then Patrick Chipandwe (talk) 10:04, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
Hello Patrick Chipandwe. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Ruff Kid, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Patrick Chipandwe. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Patrick Chipandwe|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Magnolia677 (talk) 12:28, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- The Ruff Kid edits were made in consultation with the artists. Nonetheless, there was payment made for edits to be made. I am Zambia, I make this edits so that my fellow Zambia can find well elaborated articles about our country. Like I said in the earlier response information in Zambia is far fetched. With your guidance I will make the necessary edits with verifiable references. Patrick Chipandwe (talk) 11:14, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
- As a paid editor, there are disclosures that must be made. Please read WP:UPE and WP:PAID. Thank you for your cooperation. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:13, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
