When linking, there is no need to wp:pipe a link if the destination is the same as the name. i.e. [[Twin Dragons|Twin Dragons]] is the same as [[Twin Dragons]] and both: Twin Dragons Twin Dragons will link to the same article. No need to change it now. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 02:08, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please don't change the format of dates, as you did to History of bras. As a general rule, if an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the dates should be left in the format they were originally written in, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. Please also note that Wikipedia does not use ordinal suffixes (e.g., st, nd, th), articles, or leading zeros on dates.

For more information about how dates should be written on Wikipedia, please see this page.

If you have any questions about this, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Enjoy your time on Wikipedia. Thank you. Meters (talk) 05:40, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Response

Thank you for the advice regarding dates and edits, Meters. I will make sure to read them through and follow the given guidelines. However, there is a confusion here. I didn't change only the format. The dates themselves were wrong. Instead of 14th century AD, it was given as 14th century BC. I fixed that too and provided some citations (they were missing in the original entry which posted the wrong dates). I suggest that you accept that change. The date was right. The Minoan civilization flourished during the 14th century BC (or BCE, if you prefer), not AD/CE. Huon (talk) 22:37, 14 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
