The article Ranjay vardhan has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. I know you are working hard on this article. Please now work more slowly and bring things to completion before removing the tags I added to help you. The references are imperfect. If you do not know properly how to use the CITE button let an editor who will come after you deal with that. If I can help you, I will, so ask me anything you need here. You may want to take time to study Template:Citation to discover with precision what all the fields are with a citation template. Or please use located above the edit window and choose the one you will use. Note that they are self numbering. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 12:07, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have created an example of a full citation with the first reference in the article. You may wish to follow that lead. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 12:16, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I've stripped out the stuff that must not appear. Please do not add that stuff back. But please find references in Reliable sources to cite his actual work. Otherwise the article is at risk of deletion because he appears not to be notable. I've worked pretty hard to help you turn this into an article that stands a chance of survival here. Please carry on your good work. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 12:33, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've added several more citations, but please look at my comment at Talk:Ranjay Vardhan for my thoughts on the notability of this gentleman. I think you produced an excellent basis for an article. I hope you will agree that I have helped in shaping it for Wikipedia. I hope you can find the extra material to cite his academic achievements. I'd also like to see his birth date in the article. When you look at the article to add another "external link" please look more carefully. I added http://www.bbc.co.uk/hindi/india/2012/02/120214_broken_heart_ac.shtml to the text as an inline citation complete with a quotation from it. It is not customary to add such things as external links. So I have reverted your most recent addition. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 14:32, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
