Hong Kong

[edit]

Hello. There are literally thousands of Hong Kong-related articles that refer to the city simply as Hong Kong. This is a de facto established convention on Wikipedia. If you intend on changing all of them please acquire consensus first. Doing it in a piecemeal manner diminishes the unity of the article ledes and can make the location quite unwieldy, as in the case of Hong Kong Museum of History which is now located in the cumbersome "Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong, China". It is also unnecessary as everybody knows where Hong Kong is – similarly articles such as Swiss Cottage or Tate Modern do not explicitly spell out that London is in the United Kingdom.
