I don't want to go down in history as the pleb who said the person who went on to cure cancer wasn't notable but he does appear to fail WP:NACADEMIC. However, I'm unsure if he passes WP:GNG, I'm pinging DGG, a reviewer more experienced with academic notability, to take a second look.
