Image tagging for Image:KyujuniFlag.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:KyujuniFlag.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:09, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Editing another's user page

[edit]

It would just be a good idea not to edit another user's user page; it is almost always perceived as vandalism by other editors, no matter what your relationship is in real life. ... discospinster talk 12:43, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Downgoesrex.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Downgoesrex.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:06, 21 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Sunshine Man 18:06, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

hi

Please keep all edits neutral in tone.

[edit]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Paradox Interactive. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.--Jayron32|talk|contribs 04:58, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tomatocow

[edit]

The article Tomatocow has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 00:29, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is nothing in the article that indicates that this person is in any way notable, and I don't see what you could add to transform this person into someone notable. See WP:BIO and WP:V. Wikipedia is a general reference encyclopedia, not a place for us to learn that your friend likes drinking on Wednesday nights. NawlinWiki 00:34, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Have at it. I'm currently working on a 200-plus article backlog at Wikipedia:Candidates for speedy deletion. Feel free to add more if you think they qualify. And as far as the hangon tag, it's not binding -- otherwise, people could post the most horrible nonsense and slap a hangon tag on it. Your article wasn't nonsense, but it was obviously about a nonnotable person. NawlinWiki 00:41, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Be civil

[edit]

We expect editors to be civil with each other. Your page was deleted because Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and what you posted was not an encyclopedia article. Please make some effort to learn what we do here before you go flying off the handle at other editors. Friday (talk) 00:35, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pointmaking

[edit]

What you're threatening to do is called disrupting Wikipedia to make a point. Don't do it. Friday (talk) 00:44, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(I should clarify) Please feel free to tag pages legitimately for deletion. But if you go around tagging things that shouldn't really be deleted, that's bad and you're likely to annoy people by doing it. Friday (talk) 00:49, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
