A tag has been placed on User:Reading stone/sandbox, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. A tag has been placed on Draft:Reading Stone, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

[edit]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 16:55, 9 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I have read the Wikipedia guidelines and understand the mistake I have made

Decline reason:

Apparently you haven't. Else you wouldn't think that the capitalization of "Stone" is the problem with your username. Huon (talk) 22:09, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was trying to create a page that outlined the history of a business however I was not aware that I could use the sandbox to fully develop the page before publishing it. You can remove the page that I accidentally created, I would just like the IP address and my account to be unblocked Reading stone (talk) 22:01, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Please indicate that you have read and intend to comply with the policy on conflicts of interest and the disclosure requirements for paid editors. Please also indicate how you would contribute to Wikipedia if unblocked. Huon (talk) 22:09, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I have thoroughly read and understood the Wikipedia guidelines as well as the conflict of interest and disclosure requirements for paid editors policies. I fully intend to comply with all the rules outlined. If unblocked, I would make meaningful edits to articles where I see an incorrect piece of information, and cite my sources justifying the edit.

Decline reason:

Duplicate request. 331dot (talk) 08:17, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

And yet you still do not propose a policy-compliant new username. Unfortunately it's common for people to say "I understand" when they don't. You'll give us a little more to show that you actually understand. Huon (talk) 22:25, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I was hoping that I could keep my existing username but I realize that that is not an option anymore

Decline reason:

You can't simply say "I understand" without demonstrating how or why. I think you've made too many unblock requests now, so I'm turning your talk page access off. You will need to file further unblock requests via the Unblock ticket request system. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:19, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That username choice is taken, you will need to choose something else; do not make another request, simply edit your existing request to remove your old choice and put your new one. To be unblocked, you will need to agree to not edit about Reading Stone or anything related to your conflict of interest, read and comply with the paid editing policy, and tell what subjects you intend to edit about if unblocked. 331dot (talk) 08:20, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
