Speedy deletion nomination of User:Repj/sandbox
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Repj/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://medium.com/polkadot-network/polkadot-simplified-developer-update-1-a29e089f6ceb. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Widefox; talk 22:52, 7 January 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Repj, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Mariapaulafn1 (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Widefox; talk 23:11, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
Please do not use Wikipedia to promote businesses, such as you did in the article Web3 Foundation. Wikipedia is not a trade directory. If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets. Thank you. Widefox; talk 23:14, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Repj. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Web3 Foundation, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You are required to disclose per WP:COI even if you are a volunteer. That's WP. There may be other reasons to disclose too (such as EU legislation) but that's not my concern. Widefox; talk 16:39, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. Widefox; talk 21:16, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
You are suspected of sock puppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then, if you wish to do so, respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mariapaulafn. Thank you.
Hey there. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the editor, but I'm a community member, not a sock puppet account. Widefox How can you and I get in touch to discuss all of these issues-- is this the best location? I've been tagged as a sock puppet for MariaPaulaFN's account it seems. To clarify, we're located on opposite ends of the Atlantic, and I'm happy to help work through this with you. The community members involved with these platforms have been looking to work on educational resources on what interchain protocols and web3 projects are looking to accomplish with coming distributed systems. I look forward to your reply and to helping make that all of our contributions are in line with Wiki's standards.
- Please read the above links, and WP:MEAT and discuss at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Polkadot (project). Widefox; talk 21:15, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
