A couple of editing tips

[edit]

Hi! I see you're fairly new to editing. (And your username makes me smile.) I wanted to pass on a couple of tips, based on your edits at Zika virus outbreak (2015–present).

Wiki tables are odd beasts, and can be unforgiving if you don't pay attention to details. Help:Table has most of the information you'll ever need, with links at the top to other helpful pages. Often, if I just want to add a row to an already existing table, I find it's easiest to copy an existing row, paste it in, then change the relevant text. Be careful to choose the right spot to begin the copied text; usually |- marks the beginning of a new row.

Also, when you need to use a citation more than once, it's easiest (for you and other editors that follow you) to name the reference. The details of how to do that are at WP:NAMEDREFS. A tool that I've found extremely helpful to format citations is MakeRef.

I look forward to seeing you around! — Gorthian (talk) 17:27, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Members of the 32nd Dáil, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Independent (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:23, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
