Fair use rationale for Image:W463 Cabrio.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:W463 Cabrio.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Remington Model 673, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. Arthurrh 05:38, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Trans6b.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:41, 24 September 2007 (UTC). This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Chrysler Sebring (sedan), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.edmunds.com/chrysler/sebring/review.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. Speedy deletion of Chrysler Sebring (sedan)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Chrysler Sebring (sedan), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g12.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.  superβεεcat  02:52, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:2007 chrysler sebring ext 1.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:2007 Chrysler Sebring ext 1.jpg. The copy called Image:2007 Chrysler Sebring ext 1.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Orphaned non-free media (Image:W463 Cabrio.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:W463 Cabrio.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:39, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For someone who kept saying they wouldn't do it again, I'm really disappointed to find that you've created a second account User:Roadcrusher1, what we call a sockpupptet, and have continued uploading images without proper licensing. Too bad. I'm extending your block. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 01:41, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Global Domination.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Global Domination.jpg.

Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:14, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Fine i am sorry about trying to evade the block by making sock puppets and i will understand the fair use policy and tags.

Decline reason:

Your latest sock was discovered yesterday. Not exactly what I expect from someone who regrets his/her actions. MaxSem(Han shot first!) 19:38, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
