From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I see that you have posted some pictures of various BMW motorcycles, presumably these are your own. However, you must put copyright and source information on the photo page or the pictures will be deleted from Wiki. Also it is better to put pictures into the Wikimedia Commons rather than Wikipedia as they can then be easily shared between language versions.

Commons: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

Here is an example of a properly credited picture in the Commons, it looks like a lot of work but if you edit the page you can see that most of it is done by a template that you can copy and paste.

Image Tagging for Image:K1200gt_2004.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:K1200gt_2004.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Moving a page

[edit]

I noticed that you have moved the BMW Motorcycles article by manually cutting and pasting the article. Please in future see WP:MOVE and Wikipedia:Requested_moves for the correct method for moving articles and why it is done this way instead of cutting and pasting text. --Clawed 01:22, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Summer

[edit]

As a quick note could you try to avoid using "summer" [1] to refer to a timeframe in wikipedia and not the actual season as Wikipedia is an international encyclopedia and there are two hemispheres meaning there are summers from 21 June to 21 September and 21 December to 21 March.--Clawed 08:05, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Logo ra.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo ra.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 00:56, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:OTL cover.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

I have nominated BMW Riders Association, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/BMW Riders Association. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Biker Biker (talk) 12:50, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

BMW motorcyc le clubs listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect BMW motorcyc le clubs. Since you had some involvement with the BMW motorcyc le clubs redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. -- Tavix (talk) 18:30, 8 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
