Welcome!

Hello, Rommin, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted (if it hasn't already).

A tag has been placed on Descriptions, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Descriptions and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MuffledThud (talk) 11:29, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Business simulations[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Business simulation do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MuffledThud (talk) 11:29, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

BTS Group AB[edit]

Do you have an affiliation with BTS Group AB? If so, you should be aware of Wikpedia's conflict of interest policy. This is an encyclopedia, and the edits you ahve made to the BTS Group AB article sound like a press release. This is not surprising as parts of it have been copied directly from BTS material such as their website. And on that note, copyright is a serious issue, and copyrighted material cannot be used on Wikipedia except in vary narrow cases. -- Whpq (talk) 19:20, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I do have an affiliation with BTS. However, this article was intended to update an older description of BTS (previously known as Business Training Systems before the company did a name change in the mid-90s) that had been up on Wikipedia for many years. I had made an initial attempt to replacing the old company name and updating the text. It was taken down a couple years ago. BTS is an innovator in the use of custom business simulations for corporate strategy alignment and execution. It is important that its work in the area of business simulations and experiential learning is accessible on Wikipedia. Please advise on what is percieved as marketing materials in my submission and we can remove. Your help is appreciated. Regards,--User:Rommin

March 2011[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. [1] MrOllie (talk) 19:33, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Business acumen with this edit. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. SeaphotoTalk 00:28, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your only warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you add inappropriate external links, as you did with this edit to Business acumen. SeaphotoTalk 00:28, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/BTS Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. j⚛e deckertalk 16:51, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
