Disambiguation link notification for July 4
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Helm Spencer, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lancashire League (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

DYK nomination
Your DYK article is way too short - Template:Did you know nominations/Hyde Park Holocaust memorial. SL93 (talk) 20:20, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

DYK for Hyde Park Holocaust memorial
On 15 July 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Hyde Park Holocaust memorial, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Hyde Park Holocaust memorial of Hyde Park, London, was the first public memorial in Great Britain dedicated to the Holocaust? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hyde Park Holocaust memorial. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Marex Spectron
HI,
Thanks for your message re: my amends to the Marex Spectron corporate page. You are quite right: I do have a conflict of interest in that I am an employee of the company.
We noticed recently that the page was significantly out of date and in a few places wrong (CEO had changed, employee and revenue numbers were wrong, some of the history was wrong). I therefore jumped in to edit - I did state in my edit notes that I am an employee and created a username that's fairly unambiguous but I should have checked the process more closely and submitted the changes to an admin first. Apologies for that.
I hope the page I have created is appropriately neutral - certainly I've taken any qualitative ("leading, "dominant" etc) language out and aimed to just state what we do plainly.
I have a couple of references to track down but that would end my editing, until something material changes at the firm: when it does I'll submit future alterations to admins.
Thanks again,

- Hi Richard. Thanks very much for the reply. Neutral, unbiased and objective article writing on a subject with which you are involved is fine - in fact it can make you an experton the subject. As long as you are aware of the pitfals of inherent bias and its risks when you are writing on a subject to which you are linked so closely, then that is okay. If you plan to edit on Wikipedia more I might advise you change your username (see Wikipedia:Changing Username). S.G.(GH) ping! 13:21, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
