[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Iran Air Flight 742 has been reverted.
Your edit here to Iran Air Flight 742 was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=gFOuyeYwHms) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. "Hangon" tag?
[edit]You had a {{hangon}} tag here on this user talk page. That's the tag you can put on a page in hopes of stopping it from being speedily deleted. But nobody had asked for this user talk page to be speedily deleted. I'm not sure what page you meant to put the {{hangon}} tag on instead. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 05:10, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
- ) Sorry. I am new to this. I added the hangon tag to the page. abrapps (talk) 05:25, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
The Iran Air Flight 742 you created has not been nominated for speedy deletion, so I have removed the hangon tag you added. The notability at the top of the page, which I added, is not a request for deletion, but simply a notice to all users that the page might not meet notability requirements. It does not mean that the page is threat of immediate deletion, and many pages do exist with this tag for months or years before they are improved and/or deleted. This tag however does not prevent someone from requesting speedy deletion (which would likely not be done as there is a potential claim for notability (an aviation incident/accident) mentioned in the article), WP:PRODing the article or nominating it for deletion.
I would very much encourage you to add reliable sources to demonstrate the notability of the incident, as it is very much on the edge right now. Note that simply happening, and the fact that it was caught on video, do not make this incident automatically notable. You may also want to look at the Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Aircraft accidents and incidents which goes into more depth on when incidents/accident are or are not notable. If you have any other questions let me know. Ravendrop 05:37, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
