The article Chris McLeod has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Help[edit]

I'm trying to figure out how to include sources to verify Chris McLeod's existence and justify his page. Thanks Seabass73 (talk) 18:36, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help me![edit]

I crated a page on a radio host and it's saying I didn't cite proper sources- I'm not entirely sure what more I have to add as I did put references including his link to his radio sanctioned website page, his page related to his work as a play by play man and two other references. Can someone tell me if this is satisfactory or not? Thank you! Seabass73 (talk) 12:47, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The sort of sources you need (explained on our reliable sources page) are secondary sources that cover the subject from an unrelated viewpoint; things like newspaper articles are a common choice. The idea is that Wikipedia shouldn't be the first place to cover a subject, and that if a subject is notable enough it will tend to be naturally covered via other sources. Your source 4 looks like it might be along the right lines (however, it seems to be a broken link).
Ideally, your sources should also be placed at the relevant points in the article (rather than all bundled at the start or end), so that people can see which sources verify which particular facts. In articles about living people, it's particularly important to make sure we have a source for every fact in the article; otherwise if someone changed an unsourced fact to contain misinformation, it'd be impossible to tell which version was correct. --ais523 13:15, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
