Welcome to Wikipedia!
[edit]I'm Ad Orientem, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{Help me}}
here on your talk page and someone will try to help.
There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at TAPE Inc.. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. 2001:448A:1020:3E53:4DAD:11FF:436B:2F42 (talk) 14:15, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Sabrina Carpenter. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Amaury • 17:41, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Sabrina Carpenter shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at TAPE Inc.. Breaktheicees (talk) 23:25, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on LeAnn Rimes. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Geraldo Perez (talk) 14:18, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
LeAnn Rimes lead photo
[edit]Per MOS:IMAGES, "a biography should lead with a portrait photograph of the subject alone". The image you are changing it to is not a portrait. I originally uploaded both portrait and non-portrait images. I'd much prefer not to start an edit war - do you have some sort of rationale for going against the Manual of Style? Breaktheicees (talk) 07:07, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
- The photo you are trying to force into the article against opposition to the change by other editors is a very poor image to use in an infobox. If you think you have an argument for why it should be included, contribute to the existing discussion on the talk page, Talk:LeAnn Rimes § Lead image, and explain your reasons and gain a consensus to change it from the current reasonable good image. Geraldo Perez (talk) 00:42, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Seanmoral135. Welcome to the encyclopedia. Please be aware that when we have disagreements here, the normal procedure is to discuss them on the article talk page and seek WP:CONSENSUS. This is one of the foundation stones of the project .Edit warrring is counterproductive and disruptive. Please discuss your proposed changes. Thank you for your contributions to the project. -Ad Orientem (talk) 00:46, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
