Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Zoology article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. --TeaDrinker 17:43, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite block

[edit]

For copyright violations, in particular for repeated false licensing claims that included stripping a photographer's watermark. And for failing to respond to a string of warnings. DurovaCharge! 04:05, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

First of all, I do not deny that I have made some copyright mistakes. But those were to no degree a purposeful act. I only posted content that I believed was perfectly legal to put on Wikipedia. Second of all, I did in NO such way, manner, or form strip a photographer's watermark from a photo. And if you believe I still did then perhaps you would like to show me or remind me of the photo that I supposedly altered. I would much perfer to see the proof of this as you did not inform me of which picture you believe me to have changed and apparently no one really looks into matters of false administrator information. And third of all, I do not get on very often, and when I do, I rarely sign into my account to edit pages. So how could I have possibly responded to anyone's messages about copyright violations, whether unverified terms or not? Serendipity15 04:48, (EST) 07 January 2008

Decline reason:

Reviewing your uploads, virtually all of them are copyright violations tagged with a false {{GFDL}} tag. Your most recent edit [1] contains mostly material copied and pasted from britannica.com. Your previous edit [2] was unhelpful. This edit [3] was also a copy/paste of Britannica. Going back to some of your earlier edits, [4] comes from [5]. In looking through your edits, I have not found an edit other than minor formatting corrections that was not copied from another source. Wikipedia does not accept material that violates copyrights. I must uphold this block. You are, of course, welcome to add one additional {{unblock}} template (please leave this one in place) to ask a third administrator to examine this block, or to appeal via email unblock-en-l@lists.wikimedia.org. — B (talk) 03:32, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

AfD nomination of Hamster health conditions

[edit]

I have nominated Hamster health conditions, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hamster health conditions. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ukexpat (talk) 18:34, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
