June 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm PriusGod. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, John Romita Jr., but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. PriusGod (talk) 22:47, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Chris Rock have been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 20:56, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please read the guidance at WP:HYPOCORISM, and note especially: "It is not always necessary to spell out why the article title and lead paragraph give a different name. If a person has a common English-language hypocorism (diminutive or abbreviation) used in lieu of a given name, it is not presented between quotation marks or parentheses within or after their name. Example: Use: William Henry Gates III, Avoid: William Henry "Bill" Gates III". Thank you signed, Willondon (talk) 13:29, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Willondon I have seen this type of thing on other articles before. Sipervoper4738 (talk) 13:31, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to correct it. signed, Willondon (talk) 13:32, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Willondon Ok. Sipervoper4738 (talk) 13:33, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccuracies[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced and incorrect content to the encyclopedia, as you did in changing Keir Mather's mother's name to "Gill" when the source clearly says "Jill". This is vandalism and may lead to you being blocked, if you continue. PamD 17:37, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I suspect you've also been providing people's "full name" in a number of articles by assuming what the shortened form is derived from. E.g. "Les" can derive from "Leslie" or "Lester". In many cases, a "short form" such as "Ted" or "Jon" is the name given at birth, and they were never in their life identified as Theodore or Jonathon. I hope you haven't been editing articles based on your own assumptions. In future, please provide a reliable source for changes or additions you are making. Thank you. signed, Willondon (talk) 17:48, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
