Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Big Brother Australia, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 00:03, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Big Brother Australia 2012. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. -- MSTR (Chat Me!) 01:36, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Blackpool, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Waterloo Road (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File permission problem with File:Sirocco758CBB2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sirocco758CBB2.jpg, which you've sourced to (tv screenshot - UK Channel 5). I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:50, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Big Brother 13

[edit]

Hi there!

It's me, from the Conor discussion. I'm just wondering what you think we should do about this? Personally, I think that we have the best arguments, and the most people on our side, but it strikes me that it doesn't matter what we say or how many people agree with us, RachelRice and MSalmon will just carry on changing it back. I'm not really sure what's supposed to happen in this situation where the two parties do not agree - is there a third party we can go to who will settle it? I'm just trying to think, because I don't think they will back down. I want to get my own way here because I know that we're right about this, but apart from arguing about it, I'm not sure what else we can do. Any ideas?

Update: Never mind, it's sorted out now. George.millman (talk) 14:18, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your User Page

[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your user page may not be appropriate to be indexed by external search engines as presently written. Typically, this could be because it contains personal material or content that looks like a mainspace article that doesn't meet policies and guidelines.

Leaky Caldron 14:59, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It would be unwise to disregard this. Your user page contains both personal details which might be used to identify you and content that can be confused for article material. Both of these are expressly deprecated in talk page policies and guidelines. WP:USERBIO & WP:FAKEARTICLE. The content will be considered for deletion at WP:MfD. You should move it to a personal Sandbox page if you wish to keep it. Thanks. Leaky Caldron 22:53, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you could tell me what information you are saying is wrong then I will move it or delete it, I have no idea what you're on about. Sirocco758 (talk) 11:14, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Most of it really but in particular the Big Brother stuff. If it looks like an article it has to be deleted or moved to a sandbox. The personal stuff is also not recommended for a talk page, it could be used to identify you in real life. Please see WP:USERBIO & WP:FAKEARTICLE and you will see the policy rationale. Thanks. Leaky Caldron 12:14, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Is that better, I want my details on the page though, Its my userpage and thats my info, I have all my details on Facebook, Twitter etc so Wikipedia aint going to be a big reveal in identity is it. Sirocco758 (talk) 12:41, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Provided that you are comfortable with the inherent risks. Thanks for your cooperation. Rgds. Leaky Caldron 13:36, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think User:Leaky_caldron was correct when he said you could continue to host fake articles in your sandbox. Wikipedia is not a free web host, so you can't use it to play fantasy Big Brother, which you appear to be doing at User:Sirocco758/sandbox, User:Sirocco758/Sandbox, User:Sirocco758/Sandbox1, User:Sirocco758/Sandbox2, User:Sirocco758/Sandbox3, User:Sirocco758/Sandbox4, User:Sirocco758/Sandbox5, User:Sirocco758/Sandbox6, User:Sirocco758/Sandbox7, and User:Sirocco758/Sandbox8. Can I suggest that you archive this material onto your own personal computer, and then request its deletion by adding a {{db-userreq}} tag to the pages? —Psychonaut (talk) 15:45, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Personally I think that these pages are pointless but I could not see a violation of WP:BADSAND. Leaky Caldron 15:59, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
